Which lens is better?
Hello people,
I am going to shoot a short film next month and its all in a room which won't be very bright. I want to know what type of lens to use to get a dood depth of image. I will rent it. Thank you |

Is it a big room? If space is any concern, you will need some kind of wide angle lens or converter, the 20x OIS is kind of on the long side. You mention it not being well lit, no lens can really help in that regaurd. Did you mean to say depth of field at the end? You can cheat DOF out of the 20x OIS, but you kind of need a lot of room (put the camera far off and zoom in) or a lot of light (dial in ND and open up the iris). I'm not a DOF expert maybe someone else can help. |

You will need 2 lenses... the 3X wide is a MUST in tight quarters and you will need the 20X OIS or 16X manual to get any DOF. Be warned the manual lens has no image stabilizer.
