After reading this board for several weeks, I made the decision to buy an XL2. Sorry folks, but, although the advice and troubleshooting suggestions here are excellent, the words and praise for the XL2 fall far short when describing the XL2 experience (joke). The picture that the XL2 provides is ... is... damn, now I don't have the words! Beautiful, beautiful camera and images. Thanks Canon and many, many thanks XL2 community. I'm not worthy!!!!

I as well have been doing the same thing and have purchased an XL-2. I cant wait to use it the battery is still in the charger. Also thanks to B&H for the quick delivery. It got to me in less that a week.
