XL2 Preset for Receptions
Hey folks,
Does anyone have any recommendations on a good preset for wedding receptions? I've looked at the wedding preset posted in the forum but I'm not sure if this one is tweaked out for just the ceremony or for both ceremony and reception. I would also be interesed to know what your success has been with shooting low-light receptions with your XL2. Thanks for any help. Kevin

Hi Kevin. You will most likely need to do some adjustments in post to get good results. Set the blacks to Stretch, which will lift the dark areas but make the picture a bit flat (can be improved later using Color Curves in your NLE). If the light is so low that you have to set gain to +12, apply Noise Reduction and set Coring to a high value. You might also want to boost the colour saturation a little bit if the light levels are very low (but check this first if possible).

Richard, thanks for the reply. I'll test the settings at home this weekend.
