Porta Brace CS-DV3U for XL2 or other sub $180 case?
Anyone with any experience as to whether this bag will fit the XL2?
I'm on a pretty tight budget ($180 max, including shipping) and looking for a bag that will fit the camera with standard lens and hood attached, a 3x wide agle lens, a couple batteries and maybe a handful of tapes. I don't mind removing the viewfinder and mic so long as they all fit in. The dimensions suggest its about the same size as the LowePro Commerical Aw DV, which i hear people like for the XL2. I'm not a pro and I don't need to carry a ton of extra stuff. I'm basically looking for the smallest bad I can get away with but still be able to fit the items listed above. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, BO'B |

Does it need to be carry-on legal? If not, I'd go with a Pelican case. Even if it needs to be, you could disassemble the camera and fit it in a carry on sized one and they're great in terms of protection and much cheaper than bags.
