video outputs on the XL2
i dont have the camera or the manual here with me right now but i need to find out about something
i just realized that when i connect my LCD to the video out on the camera it shows me the EVF info (shutter speed, aperture, remaining tape,...) which is good as the LCD is used as a viewfinder but now i want to also show the life feed on a TV screen where the EVF info of course doesnt make sense does anyone know if there is a way to do both meaning have the EVF info on the external LCD but not on the TV (i am thinking of having the LCD connected to the video out and the TV to the S-Video out but i guess they share the same signal. if not Is it possible to show the EVF info on the cams EVF but not on the video out ? It must be i guess but dont know how and cant try right now Any ideas appreciated

You can have "all displays off" over all the analog video outputs, but you can't select one output vs. another. The displays are either on or off across the board.
And yes you can have displays in the EVF but not over the analog outputs concurrently. |

Chris
thanks i thought so. would be nice to have a direct video out from the EVF port. That way you could have an LCD as EVF with EVF info and a video feed without EVF as well
