Help with CH-910 Install
Purchased the XL2 this month, however can't seem to find the three screws to attach it to the camera, emailed canon and was told I could purchase new ones. with shipping 20.00
all I really wanted to know was the size needed, I'am sure I can purchase either at a local electronics supply or hardware store if I knew the size of the screws. Can anyone tell me the size Thanks Don |

The three screws are shipped ON THE PLATE. They are screwed onto the plate already. Simply unscrew them and use them to attach the mount to the body.
Frankly, I think they are the worst aspect of the XL2. Hard to get to, impossible to reach with BP945's mounted on the CH910, and you need a tiny phillips head to take the mount off. Try dropping one of the screws in the dark... no thanks. I'm looking to get a set of thumb screws to replace them. When I figure out the thread size, I'll let you know. |

No Screws
Richard, Had the CH-910 with my previous XL1, came with screws, so I'm familiar with the mounting process, I just don't have the screws, need thread size so I can be sure of not stripping the mount holes on the body of the camera, Thanks for you response
