time code burn in on XL-2?
Considering purchasing the XL-2 for legal video and I need to be able to burn in the time and date onto the tape. Can the Xl-2 do this? Also is the tape side loaded so you don't have to take the cam off of a tripod to load a new tape? Thanks for your time, Tony

An option for you if you're going to do Legal Video Depositions is to bring VHS recorders and run the video and audio out of the XL-2 into the VHS machines.
Ask the attorneys if the want it on VHS, this way you don't have to dub it later. You wont be able to edit the tape anyway, plus you can record a lot longer on the VHS compared to changing tapes every hour when recording on the camera itself. By doing it this way you can use the remote on the XL-2 and hit the display button and the date and time will be on screen. |

I do not use this feature so to the manual I went.
You can display Month, Day, Hour, Minute, Seconds permanenly burned into the video. Bill
