what do you think?
Just got my xl-2 bought 2 panasonic HDV/DV tapes AY-DVM63AMQ. Salesperson said they have a very low rate of dropped frames. Did research on this tape use from this sight and help from canon techs. Stayed with the dry tape.Just wanted to see what people thought before using the tape in the camera. Thanks Tom

Thomas--
Congratulations on your XL2! We've been using the panny dvm63pq's for a long while, but we've also used a couple of 63amq's as well. Just a general advice (and theory :) is to stick with one brand of tapes and go with that. Or if you switch brands (specifically from a "dry" lube to a "wet" lube) run a tape cleaner for a few seconds before placing a new brand. With a little research on the threads, you'll read up on which brands people use in their XL2s. Best, --JA |
