Yes, it's an available as option directly from Canon USA for $500. Not available from dealers; instead, you buy an XL H1 from an authorized H1 dealer and then you buy the upgrade directly from Canon and send in your camera for the changes. The outdoors were created to enjoy not look at through a glass window.
