VideoOneRepair.com - are they good?
They seem like the best bet for repairing my XL1. Free estimate in two days, free return shipping, AAA rating in Better Business Bureau, six month warranty.
The things that are holding me back are the long distance (NC -> CA) and no mention of cost on the website. Can anyone recommend the place? |

Doesn't look like you're going to get any takers.
May I suggest you ask your nearest Canon dealer who they would recommend and take it from there? I do think you should be able to get a reasonable estimate of costs from a reputable firm If their estimated costs aren't listed or supplied, I'd be wary. Having said that, what are they going to if you won't pay up? Take your antique hostage? CS |
