full size DV cassettes with xl1s ?
I was just curious if there is any kind of an adapter that would allow you to record onto the full size DV cassettes from the XL1S.

No, it would be impossible to thread the tape. Sorry, mini DV only.

Thanks Jeff. Oh well, I guess FireStore seems like the only solutions for portable capacity of more than just one hour recording......or am I wrong?

Firestore is one of the better solutions. You can shoot in LP mode to get longer recording time. LP does make the tapes twitchier.
