Marshall Electronics makes a large selection of monitors. I recently purchased 3 of their 4 in. color ones with shoe mounts for my XL1's. Very nice. They have both A/C and battery operated versions, as well as some VERY nifty (and pricey) rack mount versions, including some 16:9.

Hey dvman-
I recently bought one of the Marshall 4" Broadcast Quality LCD monitors from a guy on ebay who sells them new. It's a pretty good little rig. Of course, I only paid $100 for it - there's no way I'd pay $300 to get it from the manufacturer. I also bought 3 of the rechargable batteries with it. I use it with my XL1 when doing tripod shooting. I did a wedding 2 weeks ago and the LCD was a huge help! (I didn't have to worry about having my eyeball glued to the viewfinder.) 4" is the perfect size in my opinion. A good LCD monitor is a very useful investment! |
