audio settings help
I have a MA-100 with a sennheiser mike attached. It's worked great in the past, but after leaving the camera in storage for 6 months it was taken out and the set up didn't work. The camera needed a new back up battery battery which i replaced and then reset all the audio specs. Still no audio through the MA-100 set up. Put back on the original mike that came with the camera and it worked. So for the next 2 days I have been trying both the audio 1 and 2 rca inputs with every configuration I can think of with no success. Has anyone every had this problem? What advice can anyone offer? Thanks, Eirc

If the sennheiser module is powered, don't forget, it will need a new battery also...

If the 2025 battery has died the camcorder will likely forget any settings and fall back to the factory defaults.
Check the Audio 1 and Audio 2 inputs with a different source to be sure they work. Check that you have selected the proper inputs and input level settings from the menu as well as the switches behind the door. Be sure that the MA100 power cord is connected - and the audio cords. You need to hvae both connected. Check that the mic is working on a differnt syste. Recall that the MA100 does NOT provide phantom power for a mic.
