XL1S with Beachtek audio input question
This question is asked under the worst circumstances.
I have a Beachtek attached to my Xl1S and I cannot get any levels. I have it into the Audio 1, I have the Beachtek set on Mic. I have the Audio 1 level set on Mic. In the camera menu it does not have the Audio 1 In as anything. I can't seem to change it so that it detects a Mic. Is this the problem? What mode do I ahve to be in to accept the Mic as input for Audio 1? I've also tried Audio 2 and successfully set it on Mic but it doesn't get anything.

Sorry aboput the absolute newbie nature of the question but I ahve to go off to a shoot and I am actually going to call Dylan to see if someone has gotten a solution to the problem whilke I'm on teh shoot.
If not, not a huge deal as I have the default mic for the XL1s as a backup. However, I also would like it working because I am getting Xlr house sound into the Beachtek. Yes, someone shoot me for not making sure it works earlier than now.

Sorry I don't know anything about the XL-1, but I have a Beachtek on a VX-2000 and you need to set the camera's audio for a mic level input, not line level. Could that be your problem?

Sounds as if the switch behind the door for Audio 1/MIC was not set to Audio 1.. What was the solution?
