Thanks Eugenia, yes I forgot. That makes Mario's experience even stranger. Still it means he just need to switch out the splitter used.

A tool called FilMerit (complex) does allow you to change the "merit" which set the order which directShow components are used. Link Free-Codecs.com :: Download Filmerit 3.0.8 : Filmerit is a freeware application for cleaning and managing the DirectShow filters
