Thanx for answering David. I understand. But isn't Peter's question valid? Is Avid so proprietary they won't co-operate?

Proprietary is the wrong word, all NLEs are protietary, all we discussion is the level of SDK support. We are working in some way with almost everyone, Adobe, Apple, Avid, & Sony and each implemation differs. Not going into details, particularly on a beta thread or Prospect and NEO.

24p to 25p

Hi,
While converting a file from 24p to 25p with HDlink I get "Application encountered a problem and need to be close" BUT conversion is taking place in the background.

Thanks,

Johnnie

We found a couple of rate change bugs that have been fixed since the beta. I hope to get these fixes up tomorrow.

David, On the playback page, bottom left, what triggers the two buttons, Global Controls and Meta Data ?

I ask because using standard HV20 footage, on one of my computers using an ATI video card, both buttons are engaged... but on another computer using Nvidia video only the
Global Control button is engaged and the meta data button is greyed out....

the footage is not RAW

Not all footage supports the metadata controls, some older YUV sources don't, but everything created with 3.4.x should be supporting the Active Metadata functions.

Tried some different footage and it does work fine with the Nvidia video card....

Meta data works well and lots of control... what would you think about adding a
spilt screen so we could play with the adjustments... ??

Split screen, nice idea but a little tricky with the current implementation.

New release builds now out at CineForm Home Page.
