Thanks, the main reson I ask is that when I do export as progressive using Cineform - using Vegas 9C both Vegas and Tmpgenc see the file as interlaced... Not really sure why this is happening.

AVIs not have an interlaced very progressive flag -- those tools are just guessing. Here is how to make Vegas behave with progressive AVIs:
