automux sintax? a small workflow suggest

today i tested automux.... so bad discover...

seems that it pair left and right eyes only if are numeric name pair

good is folder like

bad is

why automux use name only with numbers?
many camera from arriflex alexa to low budget cameras like ex1, and others cameras use name with letters and numbers.

to avoid problems, if you record with Digital recorder is useful to build name without risk of error like ...

but automux not build list
a small request is to build some additional sintax.
for example enable to use sintax to use also files with different but similar name, like use last xx digits to build pair to mux them.

is a production needings.
in this period i check and simulate production environment.

and more, if i setup a name for destination, i would like to see a progressive number with more digit, like 001, 002, is better to do alphabetic order.
