No, currently that is Prospect HD only. We have considered adding HDSDI monitoring to Aspect HD, but it is not in yet.

So Aspect HD is limited to the Matrox Parhelia APVe? The nVidia FX540 has problems, and the Blackmagic and AJA cards are not supported. Is that correct?

Best,
Christopher

Aspect HD will work will be graphics card that supports an overlay (not just the Parhelia -- that just happens to be a good card.) None of the HD-SDI Cards support the overlay so we have to do custom development for each card -- this work has been done in the Prospect product line for AJA cards.

Will AspectHD benefit from additional horsepower of cards like nVidia 7900GT?

No, Aspect HD doesn't need any GPU acceleration.

What is the status of Aspect HD and the AJA cards for HD-SDI out? Has the decision been made to support these cards?

The current solution space seems very limited for HDTV monitoring. I'd prefer not to swap my high-performance $1,500 nVidia 4500 for a Matrox, the 540 is problematic with Aspect HD, the Aja cards can be used with native HDV but not CFHD, I could use a non-HDTV display but that would lack color accuracy, .... if Aspect HD supported Xena HD-SDI out there would be a better upgrade path ... 1) Aspect HD, 2) Xena and HDTV, 3) Prospect HD Edit, 4) Prospect HD Injest/Edit.

Best,
Christopher

We are addressing a solution for this that will be annouced just after July 4th. It likely to be different, just maybe better than you where expecting. Please no public speculation. :)
