Awesome machine! I suspect you'll get good performance with Neo HDV, but please test it out and report back.

Which Cineform?

I am shooting with a hv20 and xha1 and was curious which cineform, neohdv or neohd? the hv20 says it shoots 1920x1080 whereas the xha1 is 1440x1080 so I am not sure if I would be limiting capture with neohdv of footage from the hv20? otherwise is there a difference? how does it work with windows vista premium? I had problems with one computer that wont play the cineform files as anything but sound? and it crashes wmv when trying to play it, its wierd.

The HV20 is an HDV camera just like the XH-A1, that means it is also 1440x1080. The Canon HV20 is only 1920x1080 if you take the data live from HDMI, but even then the effective resolution is only around 1440x1080. So you only need NEO HDV, although there are other reasons to consider NEO HD as it is 10-bit in tools like AE and Combustion, important if you are going a lot of color correction.

Window Vista is a little fakey with WMP-11, we don't recommend using that, most other players work, and popular solution is using Window Media Classic of pro-video work (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...er_Classic.htm.) If you aren't get picture you like have to re-register the installed components -- in the start menu, go to Programs -> CineForm -> Tools -> Register Components.

ok so now I tryed that it failed, than I reinstalled neo player and nothing, when in vegas when I click on a cineform file vegas crashes. I than reinstalled neo hdv and it crahses sonyvegas and it will not open, I cannot unistall through cineform uninstall buttons I need to go to start control panel, add/remove and uninstall cineform and vegas again opens just fine?

Even though this is not tech support, you could more descriptive, what failed when registing the components? Also Vegas doesn't use those components. What verson of Vegas? Sounds like you have other issues as Vegas only uses a Video for Windows component. On Monday support will get that installed for you.

Thanks I will contact them on monday, but in the meanwhile, I have several systems only one (the main editor station) wont run or play at all with cineform, that is a dual core 5000 amd, 4 gigs of ram with a nvidia 8600gts and 6200oc running vegas 7 all fresh installs on a new system, three monitors 1 19inch at 1400x900 one 22inch at 1650x1050 and one 42 inch lcd at 1992x1080.
