Importing nano and XDR Quicktime into Final Cut.

Hi,

Just wondering if there is any 'rewrapping' or 'encoding' that needs to be done on the Quicktime files the nano and XDR create to import them into Final Cut Pro?

Thanks,

Jim

Dear James,

Our Quicktime files (".mov" files), are native Quicktime.

As such, no transcoding of any kind is needed. Just drag and drop the files to your timeline.

We do typically recommend that you copy your files to a project folder on your computer, then drag and drop the files to your timeline.

As a followup, you need FCP 6.0.3 or better to work with our files.
They are known as XDCAM HD 422 files within FCP.

OK, that would make sense as you are using Sony's encoder.
