Good heat resistance

I recently went for a shoot to Ethiopia and Sudan. Wheather conditions where extreme, for me anyway. Bright sky and very high temperatures. On a few occassions my Sony EX3 stopped working, I suppose due to overheating by the very harsh sunlight. And so did I. But the nano..... it kept on going. No heat strokes or whatsover. Of the 'threemanship' ex3-nano-me the nano was by far the most heat resistant.

Dear Cees,

Yes, the nanoFlash is designed to work in extreme conditions.

In the System Menu, to the right of the Time, is our internal temperature readout.

This is the temperature of one of our internal electrical components, and not ambient temperature.

This can get to around 100 Degrees C (boiling point of water) and the nanoFlash should still work.

At about 105 Degress C the nanoFlash may stop working.

If you watch this readout, you will never find it getting close to 100 Degrees C.

If you seal up the unit in insulation, and let the ambient temperature get very hot, the readout will get higher, but probably not to 100 Degrees C.

For most applications, we recommend not sealing up the unit, allow it some ambient air.
