8 channels of audio question

I'm shooting on a PDW-F350(disc) camera and set everything up to record in 8 channels due to some compatibility issues with xdcam browser and there is a digital noise that almost sounds like timecode on channels 5-8. Is this normal or just the nature of the beast with my camera. Thanks!
