Cross posting is probably naughty, but I thought I might try and catch some folks who don't normally swing by the small Canon camera forum.
Has anyone ever encountered the problems I detail in this thread?

The repeating frames problem is the most perplexing.
I think I'm just going to move straight over to an intermediate using this method;

and the Largarith codec seems pretty good after a cursory bit of testing. But the original problem with AE and m2ts still has me curious.
