After Effects out of memory?
I was rendering out a movie to the desktop of my PC laptop last night and I kept getting the error that After Effects was out of memory. I have never seen that one before and a search didn't reveal anything special.
I am running 32 bit Windows Vista Ultimate with a quad core 2.5 Intel with 4 gigs of ram and a 2 gig USB stick for readyboost. The version of after effects is CS3. I have not had time to download quicktime pro yet. |

Purge cache, close other applications, render to psd or tiff files sequence.
4GB gives you no advantage under 32-bit OS, you are stuck with at most 3 GB. |

Try assigning overflow volume drives in your preferences.

How do I purge the cache? Also now After Effects is telling me that it can't parse the properties list, so it won't open. I have no idea what that means either.
