Chromakeying water with distortion?
 

I have a scene I want to do that involves greenscreening a person in a water tank as the water level rises and overlaying that with a background. What do I have to do to keep the distortion effects introduced by the water? I suppose I'd have to recreate this light bending with a 3D program?
