Good additions, Lawrence!
My guess is that 24mbps isn't implemented because of bandwidth issues into SD cards and small hard drives. Could be limits on the signal processing chips as well. Maybe next year? As to 24p in a 60i stream, hopefully that's no longer required as we move from tape to data files. Still, we want the meta data to tell us all about each clip.
