Panasonic SDR-SW20
Was thumbing through a catalog I got today and ran across the Panasonic SDR-SW20. It's camera that records on SD memory cards and is shockproof, dustproof and waterproof up to five feet.
No mention as to whether or not it shoots in HD, so I can only assume it shoots in standard definition. But with an MSRP of $399, I doubt it's HD. Here's Panasonic's information page on it: http://panasonic.net/pavc/camcorder/...ucts/sdr-sw20/ (If this is a repeat post, I apologize...I did a search but couldn't find anything) |

For 720p, you’ll have to get Panasonic’s new TZ5. Unlike last years SD only model, this one allows you to use the 10X zoom when you’re shooting video and it retails for only $350 although it isn’t waterproof like the SDR-SW20.

Are you sure about TZ5 is shockproof, dustproof and waterproof ? ;)
SW20 able record only SD MPEG2. As i understand mpeg2 is 100% DVD compliant and possible author w/o recompression use Womble DVD wizard mpeg2 editor/authoring tool. |
