Looks promising in many ways, but it says it wont run on a Windows (or presumably Mac) machine, so it wont be doing us Vegas/FCP/Avid/Premier/LE users any good any time soon.

I would assume, since IBM has been working in the Linux realm for a while now, there could be some tangable (for the home user) results there, but then, what cha gonna edit on besides Cinederella.....

It is, however, nice to see some real news today!

If you look at some of the Mac rumor sites you'll actually see speculation that the Sony deals Apple has hinted at will involve this processor...
