Re: New TV Logic VFM-056WP
Hi Steve,
I just found that in the specs too. Alittle restrictive, especially here in PAL land. I gather though from other forums the TVLogic are quite interactive at updating firmware, so we may see an improvement? On the other hand the panel is so good that I'm not too worried. |
Re: New TV Logic VFM-056WP
I wouldn't say it eliminates the use of those monitors. I looked at the output of the TV Logic on a Panasonic 17" at Abel Cine and while I imagine a 1080 output would be better, it was still quite sharp. I would go so far as to say that most people (even those who consider themselves critical in that area) would have identified it as a 720p image without prompting.
Still--it's a drawback, and enough of one that I haven't picked up one of these monitors yet. Waiting to see what happens--and realistically, hoping that the HDMI to HD-SDI conversion won't be part of my workflow much longer. |
Re: New TV Logic VFM-056WP
Is the SDI output only 720 if you are translating from HDMI or even if you are looping through the SDI ports with a 1080 signal.
I just bought one of these 2nd hand. How do I know what the latest firmware is supposed to be and how do I update it? |
Re: New TV Logic VFM-056WP
Hi Leonard, Where did you find on second hand? Can you give me some insight as to how you like it? I'm considering getting one and if I could find a good used one I'd prefer that.
Thanks, Garrett |
