Yuneec ActionCam 4K Handheld Gimbal Camera
Yuneec ActionCam 4K Handheld Gimbal Camera
New DJI OSMO Competitor - Yuneec Q500 4K Modular Gimbal Camera | 4K Shooters Another hand held gimbal with built in camera competing with Osmo and Roxor. Yuneec, like DJI, is a drone maker. The Typhoon. The Product Page for the Typhoon Action Cam Gimbal Typhoon ActionCam | Yuneec ? Electric Aviation Very odd shape as it has a built in base. Already in PreOrder at B&H http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1197940-REG/yuneec_yuncam001_typhoon_actioncam_4k_3_axis.html |

Re: Yuneec ActionCam 4K Handheld Gimbal Camera
What an ugly design that is, the supplier is also very dishonest about the footage they show, in their demonstration video at 00:35 where that girl is swinging these fireballs, or whatever you call them, you see a guy raising that typhoon action cam above the crowd and then you supposedly get to see shots taken with the camera which is a wide, close up and medium close shot from the girl but if you look close you see those are shots taken with a aps-c or full frame camera because there is so little shallow dof which is impossible to achieve with a 1/2.3-inch sensor.

It certainly does look like a very shallow depth of field for such a small sensor.

Probably the same camera that took the reverse angle showing the gimbal being held.
They have a behind the scenes camera shooting the gimbal which seems to have been used for shooting the subjects as well. |

Looks like an ugly ass space gun.
I'd buy it. I just wouldn't use it in public - only standing in front of my mirror going PEW PEW PEW!

I have had the OSMO for a month. It is just OK, still a basic POV. The gimble helps a lot for certain shots. Too bad they can not make it more weather proof.
