Canon 6D mkII $2000 full frame Rebel

Hello long lost lover.. Canon here.
I know it's been 4 years since the 6D, but in those 4 years we've been able to add
* a flip out touch screen, just like the one on your Palm Pilot
* DPAF... which sounds so cool to say. Try it!
*1080-60p so you be on point with 2014!!

Also... It's Canon! So we've added 20% to the price tag.

Wait, you want a headphone port so you can hear your mic in? Yes we have a firmware update coming... it's called "buy a 5Dmk4"

"Canon 6D mkII... The $2000 full frame Rebel"

Official link to come probably from Chris after he edits my sarcasm. :)

What sarcasm?
If Canon would post a diagram of their product development process, I think we could help them solve this problem they have of being a day late and dollar short. I suspect there's some sort of dart board or magic 8 ball somewhere in their decision-making chain.

For me, the main strength of the 6D was the sensitivity. Now they've added some resolution, but made the pixels smaller. I'd be interested to know how this Mark II compares to the original in low light situations.

For video, they need to get onboard with 4K and HFR.

If it weren't for all the Canon glass I have and that's available, I'd have probably changed to Nikon 4 years ago. Now I'd be more inclined to go with a mirror-less anything that can take an adapter to work with my lenses.

Re: Canon 6D mkII $2000 full frame Rebel

I was hoping Canon would make this a camera that would at least make Sony and Panny nervous and put pressure on them to step up their game.

This thing doesnt scare any Canon competitor. It just makes the competition laugh and say; "Whew,..thats another Canon dud. We dodged another Canon bullet!...Wow that was easy"

Damn, hopefully this wont make Sony feel comfortable and cause them to relax on future model features.
