I'm surprised he doesn't have an FX6 to go with the Z200. Every time I've used a Burano I couldn't wait to get rid of it.

Ha, ha. That's a good one Andrew, and it hits a little too close to home. :-) It is hard to get enthusiastic about a camera that might be a great choice for some people, but doesn't tick very many of the boxes for my needs.

Yes, the two cameras match very well with similar settings. I'll bet the Z300 and FX6 would also match up very close with those two.

I wish Sony would make a Z90 V2 with 4K 10bit 60/50P.
That would do it for me.
Keep the same size everything, I would pre order.

I noticed you posted a new wildlife video on youtube you recently shot with your Z200. Do you still own and shoot with your Z300?

I never did own a Z300 and I don't intend on buying one. The camera I had was a demo unit from Sony and I sent it back more than a month ago. I already have a Z280 and a Z200 which fit my needs much better than the Z300.

Would you say the z300 is a complete miss or just not enough of a change from the z280 since you already have one?

It's funny that this topic would come to life again now because I'm in the middle of producing a Z300 review video. Not a training video, like my masterclass videos, but just a 15-20 overview of the camera and talking about (and showing) how it stacks up against the Z200 and Z280.

In the mean time, I can tell you that the Z300 has a lot of new features and capabilities not found on my Z280 and Z200 -- but mostly those are features I don't personally need or care very much about. To someone else, those features may be a huge benefit and the Z300 is their dream camera. It all depends on what and how you like to shoot.

I will also say that if I didn't have a Z280 already, I'd definitely get a Z300.

Dang, that's hilarious!

Looking forward to seeing the video when you are finished. BTW, your 4K camera demo footage videos on YouTube make for better watching than the badly oversaturated HDR etc demo videos by others.
