at IBC Apple announced FCP version 5.1.2 sometime in the next 30 days it suppots a bunch of new formats including canaon 24f.

I heard if supports JVCs 24p also. Very cool.

That page lists "CANON: 1080p 24/25 HDV", I assume they mean f and not p.

I think they mean "p". assuming that it extracts the progressive frames from the 24f mode, making it a progressive workflow.
