new quicktime still poison?

I've read a lot about quicktime canceling all renders from after effects, and messing up peoples final cut. I just upgraded itunes and now it won't open unless I upgrade quicktime. How can I get around doing this? I don't want this itunes version if it halts my work. I also don't want to work in silence.

The QuickTime problem was fixed a while ago. If you want to though, you can go to OldApps.com to downgrade iTunes.

Thank you, that helps me in so many ways. It's not that I don't trust the all knowing apple, but with my older computer at home, things work fine as they are. I like to keep the newer computers up to date.
