The dvd burner installed on your computer and the types of dvd-r you use?
I have a pioneer dvd burner installed on my computer and I have been using Dynex dvd-rs i bought from Bestbuy?

it's not a compatability issue, rather, it's the junk quality dvd-r's that should be avoided regardless of where they are used.

The burner quality isn't such a big deal. The quality of the media is HUGE. Do a search and you'll find lots of discussion of media.
