Any tech info on this high quality video format?

I saw a discussion on a travel website about a new tourism video for Vancouver, Canada. The person from the tourism office mentioned some new technology that allows for near DVD quality. The video played really well for me at a full screen size. There isn't any info about the technical specifics of the video format on either site that would allow for comparison to other online video formats. Does anyone have any technical info about this short film?

Here's the Vancouver tourism site ("Vancouver Destination Film" is in
the lower left corner of the page):
http://www.tourismvancouver.com/visitors/

Thanks!
Tim

The streaming service is provided by Vividas. Here's a press release which mentions the format they use: Vividas License TrueMotion VP7 from On2 Technologies for Mass Distribution of High Quality Video
