How to make a showreel?

The sum total of the films I've made amounts to 3 short corporate videos, a film I made for fun about the frogs in my garden and five 5-6 minute films about musicians and how they got started. That's about it.
However one of the musicians is signed to a record company. The company say they love the film and have asked me for my showreel. I've no idea why.
Well, I don't have one and don't really know how to go about making one.
I don't see a lot of point stringing a lot of clips together to music.
Has anyone got thoughts about how to make a good showreel in this situation?

You could try just referring them to your website. Looks like you have a nice array of your work there. Or you could burn them a DVD.

Thanks Brian
I did that but then wondered if I was missing a trick.
I'll leave it like that and see if anything happens.
