Well its done, about $50 for all the parts / tracks ($70 cause i bought some wrong stuff first).

Pretty decent stuff there! Can you post pics of the rig you built?

Here are some pictures and a price breakdown:

(8) Skateboard wheels - $19 (2 decks from walmart)
(1) 5ft pre-drilled V-Shaped Metal Rail
(8) 1.5inch bolts
(1) 5ft 2x4
(16) 1inch Washers
(16) 1/2inch Washers
(1) 4 x 4 plywood square
(3) U-Bolts with wingnuts

That's pretty smooth and simple looking. Great stuff! Thanks for posting!

I was wondering if you could PM or email me the plans and a quick step by step for your dolly... I'm terrible at DIY but that looks amazing.

DigitalJuice TV has a segment (with blueprints, PDF) for a similar design which may be usefull.
