Camera Slider New Zealand
A company in Hamilton, New Zealand, Automation Equipment (NZ) Ltd Corporate offer a camera slider, three products in fact, based on Igus technology. It would appear to be competitively priced and freight costs would be much less than importing from wherever, probably.
Anybody, Kiwis presumably, have any experience with these people and their products? I shoot with an EX1 mostly and any comments regarding suitability, or not, greatly appreciated. Many thanks John Last edited by John McCully; April 16th, 2011 at 01:27 AM. |

Re: Camera Slider New Zealand
I use a small 2' igus slider that I got from someone on this board . It's good for a travel slider for a 5D2, but when adding a heavier lens and a small hd monitor, the balance needs to be perfect for it to work. It's handy for adding movement when traveling light, but hard to start and stop smoothly.
I would not use it with my EX3 or larger cameras. For those I use professional sliders supplied by my grip. (or dolly). Igus is cheap, just buy one and test, if it does not work for you sell it on trade me! Ben |
