Once again on the 31st of December, it’s time to say to all our members and visitors, a Happy and Safe New Year.
Recently on a Qantas flight from Bali to Sydney, after the hostess made the last landing announcement to passengers, for the first time we heard, “If you’re a new arrival to Australia and you can’t swim to save yourself, enjoy our beaches but please stay out of the surf.”
She continued with the number of 2025 drownings then repeated her warning. While I’m writing this, on the local news there’s 2 more people missing at a Sydney suburban beach.
However we hope you’ll be able to enjoy the Sydney Harbour fireworks tonight, then your celebrations whereever you are.
