Love it already! :)

Wow feedback already and the link hasn't been posted yet!
Now i'm worried you'll all be disapointed when you finally see it, like those crappy movies with cool titles and exciting posters then when you watch them there total rubbish hehe....

Links will be released by Dylan on Monday right? so you'll have to wait till then, i'm not sure on the rules about posting links before then.
But still the video is somewhere on the internet and if you happen to find it before then is not my fault right?

Phillip:

Great one. Great effects, nice pace and just all around super fun movie !!

Lorinda Norton May 8th, 2007 09:29 AM

Wow--that was great! Loved the deadpan acting from the fellow with the striped shirt. You also did a fine job with your effects, plus I enjoyed the pace of this thriller. :)

I appreciate all the effort that went into this movie. Must be nice having access to so many zombies. Thanks for all the fun. I’ve watched it twice already and will go back for more. :)

World class opening titles and music! Did I see a lot of Andrew Kramer's ink spots and action movie essentials in the effects? He puts out some great stuff, and you made good use of it. (I used his stuff in my DVC7 entry). Lots of fun! That's one strong gun that can shoot the whole head off a zombie with one shot! :)

My main quibble with this flick is the use of the theme. I sensed that you decided to do a zombie movie before the theme came out, rather than coming up with the concept and writing the script afterwards. I can see the conversation now: "Oh crap, the theme is television!?!" "What do we do?" "Let's put the television in the road before the zombies come out!" "Yeah, that'll work!" :)

Nice film!

I agree with William, the titles are great, but it seemed like the TV was added just to have a TV... I still enjoyed the flick though, it was funny... and I like the ending...

Ronn Kilby May 8th, 2007 10:26 AM

High marks for graphics and efx. Not so much for use of theme. Fun to watch.

Brent Graham May 8th, 2007 10:54 AM

Really strong graphics. Not so strong story or tie in to theme. How were they telezombies? Did the TV control them?

But I'm jealous of your motion graphics intro, very nice.

Hi Phillip!

I really enjoyed your film. Somehow it reminded me of many late nights, back in the 80's, watching the local programming run super cool B flicks.

It was great to see Rohan Chetty again (the guy from your film Erasure dvc3). Cool.

I'm not sure I agree completely with my fellow DVCers on what has been said on the theme deal. I thought you incorporated it nicely, especially at the end with - "Man they put some rubbish on TV these days." lol.

Your special effects were excellent! Can you use those in FCP or do you have to have Adobe After Effects to work with them?

Mike Horrigan May 8th, 2007 12:28 PM

Nice work, loved the ending as well.

Great opening, nice effects, etc...

The theme was a little weak on this one but the ending kind of made up for it. :)

Great music and killer 3D opening. Thought I was watching a DVD from Blockbuster! And that Scottish Brogue, the steering wheel on the European side! Oh man, I’m loving this already. (Oops! You could see your dash light) Great bullet hits! (After Effects?) Man I need to learn to use mine! Outstanding! They do put some rubbish on TV these days BUT NOT YOUR MOVIE! This one is just fabulous! Yeah, you did stretch the "tv" theme a bit but you know what, the end worked for me. I loved it.
