Burning direct from DVD Studio Pro vs. Building and burning with toast?

I'm creating a master for a DVD using DVD Studio Pro, and I'm wondering what the best process is to burn the master. Is simply clicking burn in DVD Studio Pro and putting a disc in the machine any different quality-wize, than building the video_ts folder and burning it with another app like toast? Someone told me it was best to burn with toast, and deliver the master that way, but I got a message from the duplication house this morning saying that the disc won't play in a regular dvd player.

Any help is much appreciated.... thanks!
