NANOFLASH or upgrade camera ?

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum, so hello to you all.
I have a quick question : as a Sony ex3 user should I go down the route of using a Convergent design external recorder or should I consider upgrading the Ex3, but bearing in mind that I have a limited budget.

I ask the question because I'm considering library submissions in the near future and would like to offer them a higher quality product...which might help increase my sales potential.
What do you guys think ?

Any advice would be most appreciated so thank you in anticipation, Tim.

PS: I have used and owned a Nano' before, so I know how easy they are to use, but is this just fixing a problem that a newer camera could overcome?

For broadcast compliance over there, it's worth it to get a Nanoflash. The other option is to upgrade to the PMW-300, which already has the HD422 codec in there, along with a software update to XAVC-I.

Thanks for that Jack, I've been considering the Sony Pmw300 but at the moment it's a little out of my price range, whereas the Nano can be picked up used for sensible money.
All the best, Tim.

i don't recall, but if the ex3 does clean hdmi output, your cheapest option would be the atomos ninja star.

also the blackmagic video assist would be worth a look, i think they've sorted most of the niggles by now
