FCPX Display to external monitor on MacBook Pro
Ok, this might seem like a stupid question, but here it goes.
I know that FCPX does not currently let one export previews to a professional production monitor. As when one uses use 2nd display, you can export a preview copy to an external monitor. I'm using a 2009 "15" 2.53 MacBook Pro (GeForce 9600M and GeForce 9600M GT) If I wanted to export a preview out of the MacBook Pro in FCPX, would I simply use the mini display port to do so. I was thinking about using a mini display to HDMI adapter to connect to my "23" Vizio 1080P TV via HDMI. Is this possible using the mini display port and export to 2nd monitor in FCPX? Or would it at least let me move the preview area to the 2nd screen for additional real estate. |

Re: FCPX Display to external monitor on MacBook Pro
That must surely work.
I use two monitors on my Mac Pro, and have the viewer on the second screen. When I connect an external monitor to my Mac Mini or Macbook Pro, they behave exactly like normal secondary monitors, so showing the preview on it should work just fine. |
