changing audio anchor points
When you bring separate audio into the timeline below or above the main story line, the audio, or transition or another clip for that matter will have an anchor point that anchors it to a specific clip in the story line. But if you delete or move that main clip everything that is anchored to it will be deleted or moved as well. I need to be able to move those anchors and assign or anchor them to an adjacent clip that I know isn't going anywhere so everything stays put. So the question is how to move the anchor from the audio clip to whatever mainline clip I want.
thanks for the reply |

Re: changing audio anchor points
I know there's a way to do this, but I can't or the life of me ever remember how. It's hold down something, and then click and drag the anchor point. But I can't remember what, and I think I've tried all the usual key modifiers.
Anybody...? |

Re: changing audio anchor points
I'm drawing blanks on this too.
It's something like Option click near the top of the clip or something odd like that. Found it. The hard part about finding this stuff is remember what things are called so you can search form them in the manual. It's a "connection point" Chapter 8 Page 117 Hold down the Command and Option keys, and click the connected clip (or the gray border of the storyline) at the point where you want to position the connection point. The connection point is moved to the point where you clicked. |
