FCPX & .M2T files.
Im using a Sony z5u with the memory recording unit. When I hook up the CF card it's in a m2t file. How do I convert it so FCPX recognizes the HD movie clips?

Re: FCPX & .M2T files.
Are you pulling the files off the card to hard drive first and trying to import them or are you inserting the card direct and using FCPX to pull from the compact flash? FCPX needs the entire file structure of the card intact to make things work right.
The other option to try if its not a workflow problem as described above, is ClipWrap, which can be found in the App Store |

Re: FCPX & .M2T files.
Can someone elaborate on this please.
I have CF card from Sony Z5 MRC1K- FCP X 10.0.7- It wont see the files on the card in the card reader (just greyed out) or, I copied the VIDEO folder ( VIDEO/HVR/ all files ) to my desktop and FCP X still wont look at them, again greyed out. Is there a way to natively edit M2T files in FCP X? In this case, I dont want to transcode, re wrap or do any other mucking about. Just want to do quick edits on lots of M2T files. How can it be done? Via iMovie maybe?
