Spliting Mutlicam audio

Thanks in advance. I have two clips, both with two different channels of audio. I've created a mutliclip, but I only want one channel of audio throughout project, the lapel. I had the other audio for reference. That's where I'm stumped. Does anyone have a walk through or video, most of the youtube stuff doesn't seem to address how to choose only one channel of audio for a multicam edit.

Multicam switch to the camera with the prefered track and then change to switching to video only. Take the audio track and change it from stereo to dual mono. This will put the mike on both tracks. Then uncheck the other track. Now you have the lapel mike only.
