If you need to output to DVCPro HD, can't you just add a Kona or Blackmagic card and output from the HDV sequence via HD-SDI directly to the deck and save yourself the trouble of transcoding everything to another format? I would cut in HDV and edit to tape via Kona output Uncompressed 8-bit to a DVCPro HD deck.
