Couple questions

I have been using final cut 6 on my 3.0 (dual not quad) Mac Pro and have been enjoying it. I mainly use hdv as my main codec and plan on sending all my hdv footage through a miranda so I don't have to deal with the codec anymore. With that said though will I need raid to deal with hd coming into my computer from the miranda? I know normal hd sdi needs a raid array to handle the stream so I am guessing I will too.

So with me most likely getting raid how can I do it with my mac pro? I know it has the software but I would rather get a card but I can't seem to find one that is compatible and sub a thousand dollars. Also I wasn't sure if getting an external enclosure was a great idea since I wouldn't imagine it being as fast as internal raid with a controller card.

Also I have started to use Color more and more but I was wondering if when I set my workspace up for dual monitors if I could take my previewer over from the left screen to my primary right screen? I like how my tools are on my secondary but just not the previewer. I looked around and couldn't find way to unbind it so I could move it over.

Okay I am pretty sure that a raid controller card is out of the question unless I get the sas one from apple since the drives go directly in the motherboard. So then should I just get a nice 10,000 rpm drive and mount only the project I would currently be working on in final cut on the drive or just do a software raid and get like a terabyte?
